While every other art program you’ve used over the years sees consistent annual updates that change every inch of the user interface, FlipBook still looks mostly the same as it did over a decade ago, which is pretty much like a media player with drawing, painting tools and camera tools. I must confess that I haven't used it much for a variety of reasons, the primary one being that I never got it shoehorned into my workflow. I've downloaded and installed Pencil2D several times and am glad to see it is still being developed (with 20 branches even). It works with Windows 7 and it has a lot of potential for a free program, like onion skinning and variable playbacks. People might want to check out a free program called "Pencil 2D Animation".
